New Series about 3rd Generation Schottky Rectifier: Part2/5 - Products for Mobility Applications +++ Diotec at PCIM Europe 2019 +++ Declaration regarding California Proposition 65

Diotec's -3G Schottky Technology encompasses high power handling capability at small package outlines. It offers best state-of-the-art performance in the field of Schottky Rectifier. All our 3G Schottky diodes for Mobility Applications are available with AEC-Q101 rating.

Our new flagship for low power Schottky in SMD will be the SK34SMA-3G. It features a very low forward voltage and a low leakage current, and is thus perfectly suited for all kind of polarity protection or as an output rectifier in AC/DC or DC/DC converters.

Proof for its superior performance are these typical, application oriented parameters:
Vf < 0.32 V @ 1 A / 75°C
Ir < 120 µA @ 10 V / 75°C
Cj ~ 90 pF @ 4 V

Electronic systems for Mobility and Automotive embraces various applications such as powertrain, chassis control, body electronics, exterior and interior lighting or battery management of full electric vehicles. One of the common challenges in mobility electronic systems are the demand for power efficient, miniaturized and AEC-Q101 grade components made by innovative technology.

The SK34SMA-3G-AQ is currently under AEC-Q101 qualification; we expect completion within the 3rd quarter of this year.

Our actual -3G Schottky portfolio includes Rectifier Diodes with (Very) Low Forward Voltage Drop, reverse voltages from 20V to 45V and forward current ratings from 0.5A to 30A. PCIM Europe will take place from May 7 to 9 in Nuremberg. Diotec once again will be part of the world's leading exhibition and conference for power electronics, intelligent motion, renewable energy and energy management.

Another entertaining fact on our booth will be our live demos. They are divided in our five market segments and applications: Lighting, Consumer, Mobility, Energy and Industrial. Every area will have a demo board on which the exhibition visitors can see and test by themselves how our diodes and rectifiers work.

The California Proposition 65 is "The Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 by the State of California (USA)". Its goals are to protect drinking water sources from toxic substances that cause cancer and birth defects and to reduce or eliminate exposures to those chemicals in general by requiring warnings in advance of those exposures, for example in consumer products.

Diotec's products are not intended to be sold to end-users, as such we are not subject to California Proposition 65. However, as a Germany based company subject to the most strict European environmental legislations, we take our responsibility in the supply chain very serious. We inform therefore our customers with our Declaration about potential exposures by our components during or after use in their devices sold to their end-users.
