AEC-Q101 Product Portfolio available +++ New Bridge Rectifier Family KBP2xxG +++ electronica India 26th - 28th September

We are pleased to announce our new AEC-Q101 Product Portfolio. Take your time to study the overview about all of the parts which are in AEC-Q101 Qualification (-AQ) directly here. AEC-Q101 is a standard used for semiconductor devices not only in the Automotive industry, but also any other application requiring a higher grade of qualification.

Depending on the needs of your specific application you can further find our AEC-Q101 Compliant parts (-Q) and of course our Commercial Grade devices via the product search on our Website. Furthermore, you can find here an overview which briefly explains the difference between all these three groups.

The family of our Single Phase Bridge Rectifier has been enlarged by the KBP2xxG series. It features 2A and up to 1000V in a small 4mm pitch single in-line package. Samples of the KBP206G are already available and can be ordered here.

If you are planning your travel schedule for the next month - please make sure
to plan your visit at the booth of Diotec India at this year's electronica India from 26. - 28. September 2018. You will find us in hall 4 booth EE73.

The family of Adjustable Voltage References/Shunt Regulators has been completed by the addition of the 1.24V version MMTV431A. Three new dual transistors in SOT-363 have been added, e. g. the NPN/PNP combination BC847PN or the Small Signal MOSFETs MMBT7002DW.

NEW HV Diodes & CLDs - With 12kV and 0.45A the BY4512F offers a Fast Reverse Recovery. The 2CL series offers Superfast Recovery of < 80ns at up to 16kV. The Current Limiting Diodes (or Constant Current Regulators) CL10MD in MiniMelf are available with 20 to 40mA at maximum 90V.

Review: Diotec at PCIM 2018 +++ Growth within the Schottky diode family of the 3rd Generation +++ Demoboard: Soon available again

From 5 to 7 June we were exhibiting at PCIM in Nuremberg. Besides electronica, this is probably the most important event to our business. We are looking back on a very successful exhibition and look forward to the next one! Our exhibition calendar can be found directly here on our homepage.

As part of our trade fair appearance, we have not only been demonstrating some live demos, but of course also offered some great giveaways. Our Demoboard 3990 with Voltage Reference/Shunt Regulator and CLD were exhausted quite quickly, so that we need to produce already new ones. So if you were not able to get one directly at our booth, you can pre-order here.

Our third generation (-3G) Schottky diodes also attracted a lot of interest during PCIM. The newest member of this family is the PPS1545-3G in the only 1.1mm thin PowerSMD package. Having 15A/45V and comparable parameters than Trench-MOS devices, it needs much less space than diodes in a D-PAK. Thus, it offers a particularly space-saving alternative for your application.

PCIM 2018: Our Fair Presentation +++ Premiere: Diotec Automotive product portfolio +++ Lecture during PCIM

With great pleasure we have been looking forward to this year's PCIM in Nuremberg. From the 5th to the 7th of June we were exhibiting at this important fair and have presented our new products. We have been in hall 9 at booth no. 517. If there was not enough time for you to visit us, you can make your request directly here.

As part of our trade fair appearance, we have not only been demonstrating some live demos, but have also had a very special highlight.

For the first time, we have been presenting a Selected, yet Comprehensive Product Portfolio for the Automotive Sector during the PCIM. In the future, you will recognize these articles which are qualified according to AEC-Q101, on the basis of the addition -AQ in the article description.

At the exhibitor forum we have been delivering a great technical lecture with our presentation "A Cost Effective, Temperature Compensated and ESD protected Power Supply for MicroControllers and Sensors using just Two Discrete Semiconductors".

The 3rd Generation (-3G) Schottky Diodes by Diotec have comparable parameters to competitive devices in Trench-MOS technology. Samples are now available, starting with the LowVf type SL34SMA-3G with 3A/40V/125°C in SMA, up to the SK84-3G having 8A/40V/150°C in SMC. Further available are axial lead types like the 20SQ045-3G with 20A/45V/150°C.

Country Manager in Korea +++ 3rd Generation Schottky Diodes +++ BYG10-Series available +++ STEP-files online

With Kevin Shin we have gained an experienced Country Manager for Diotec in Korea. Since mid April, we have expanded our presence in this important Asian market. You can reach him directly by mail to: k.shin@diotec.kr.

The BYG10 series is a rectifier diode with up to 1000V and controlled avalanche rating. It completes the S1A to S1M series with a higher forward current and more robust reverse characteristics. Here you can order your samples directly.

STEP-files, which we have been publishing on request since July 2017, are now available on our website due to the high demand. These files are used for 3D modeling in CAD software and are available for almost the entire Diotec product portfolio. You can find the STEP files directly in the article search.

BC847BP in DFN1006 +++ "Budget" Devices: Example S1YL +++ MMBT7002DW - Two MOSFETs in SOT-363

The BC847BP is the first representative of a transistor in the tiny "No-lead" package DFN1006. The leads of this part are integrated into the bottom of the package, thus reducing the required space to a minimum.

"Budget versions" are parts being consequently trimmed for cost reduction. An example is the S1YL having 1A/2000V, being the budget version of S1Y. The cost reduction was achieved by shrinking the die size. The admissible surge current is then only 22/25A compared to the 30/32A of the S1Y. But if this matches with the requirements of the application, the S1YL is a cost effective alternative for the S1Y.

The MMBT7002DW contains two independent N-channel MOSFETs in a halogen-free SOT-363 package. Having 60V and 115mA per transistor, these parts can be operated at 5V logic levels.

KBPC pass RSH test +++ SPICE models of Top 500 +++ Diotec at electronica China +++ New Branch office in Shenzhen

Our KBPC bridge rectifiers with Fast-on connectors pass the "Resistance to Solder Heat" - test. These parts are UL recognized and can be found in the File E175067. You can find the information also in the data sheet with the related standards.

SPICE models of our Top 500 components are now available on our Homepage. The models are detailed and show realistic simulations. You can find the existing library of SPICE models directly through the article search, here for the article MMTL431A.

From 14th to 16th March 2018 we were part of the electronica China in Shanghai.

We are happy to announce that we opened a new Branch office in Shenzhen, China.
