We are pleased to welcome a new member to our sponsorship team. Jan Vöster is a young, talented and ambitious kite foil racer. He had some great successes last year, including the first place at Foilrace Youth, International German Championships.

Jan lives in Neuenburg am Rhein, South of Freiburg. He got his passion and enthusiasm for kiting and water sports from his dad, who raced windsurfing regattas as a teenager himself. His dad has been kiting for twenty years now and taught Jan in 2016.

In 2019, Jan took part for the first time in the Multivan Kitesurfmasters and a few other kite foil races in Holland and Denmark. He competed in the foil race and slalom disciplines and even became German champion in the Twintip slalom in this first competition season. His focus has been completely on foiling ever since. "After the 2020 season was unfortunately cancelled completely due to Corona, 2021 was a year with a lot of progress and change for me", Jan explains.

He found new sponsors and had a lot of great successes in 2021:

• 12. Platz U19 World Championships
• 4. Platz Foilrace Herren, International German Championships
• 1. Platz Foilrace Youth, International German Championships
• 7. Platz Worldsailing Youth World Championship

This year, Jan trained with the Olympic Squad in Tarifa and reached the 10th place at the U21 in Torre Grande, Sardegna, Italy. Next stop will be the Worldsailing Youth Sailing Worldchampionships in July 8 – 15, 2022 in The Hague. "I am really looking forward to the next race and feel very well prepared." We are also already excited and wish Jan good luck for his next race.
